In Southeast Asia, red rice is eaten on special occasions and treasured for its pleasing texture, delicious flavor, and many health benefits. Village Harvest Red Rice is sourced from Notheastern Thailand, where the monsson rains and rich soil create the perfect growing conditions. A source of potassium and magnesium, this versatile whole grain makes a great salad, a healthy side dish, or a colorful rice bowl.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Combine 1 cup of Red Rice with 2 cups water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  • Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
  • Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.

To prepare in a rice cooker, use same water to rice ratio.
